C Suomi Ryhmä Ay's customer register

 

Purpose of the register:

Personal data is processed for purposes related to managing and administering the customer relationship, providing and delivering services, and developing services. Personal data is also processed for purposes necessary to resolve potential complaints and other claims.

In addition, personal data is processed in customer-oriented communications, such as for information and news purposes, and in marketing, as part of which personal data is also processed for purposes related to direct marketing and electronic direct marketing. We only use data for direct marketing if the customer gives permission.

The controller processes the data itself and utilizes subcontractors acting on behalf of and for the controller in processing personal data. 

Legal basis for processing:

The processing of personal data is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which defines the rules on which grounds a company can process personal data. C Suomi Ryhmä Ay processes personal data for the following reasons:

  • the customer has given permission for their data to be used for one or more specific purposes (GDPR 6 Art. 1.a)

  • the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the customer is a party or to take steps at the customer's request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6 1.b)

  •  processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the company or a third party (GDPR 6 Art. 1.f)

The aforementioned legitimate interest of the controller is based on the meaningful and appropriate relationship between the customer and the controller, which is based on the customer being a customer of the controller, and the data is used for the purposes that the customer could reasonably have expected when providing the data.

 

Contents of the register:

We store the following information in our customer register:

  • customer name

  • address

  • telephone number

  • e-mail address

  • product information for orders

  • other additional information provided by the customer

  • online store browsing and usage data

  • delivery and payment method

  • shipment tracking information

  • IP address

  • web browser

  • terminal device

  • product reviews

We collect information from customers for the purpose of processing and shipping orders and to improve the quality of our service. We also ask for permission to send electronic direct marketing. For registered customers, the register also includes a username and password.

The information stored in the customer register is obtained from customers when they place an order. 

Registry protection:

The register is used only by two people whose job description includes its use. Each user of the register has a personal username and password. Users are bound by a duty of confidentiality.

C Suomi Ryhmä Ay declines any responsibility if customer information becomes known to third parties due to data breaches independent of C Suomi Ryhmä Ay. For example, if a data breach occurs on the server that C Suomi Ryhmä Ay staff could not have prevented. The customer is responsible for his or her own registered user name and is obliged to change the password if he or she suspects that it has become known to third parties.

 

Customer rights:

The customer has the right to check, change or delete information about themselves from the customer register. If the customer wants to change their information, they should contact our customer service: pipomeri@csuomi.fi.

 

Disclosure of information:

C Suomi Ryhmä Ay discloses information to third parties whose services are used to process and ship orders. Payment transactions are transmitted to payment processors, address and contact information are transmitted to transportation service providers. Online shopping transactions at the product level are transmitted to the marketing and content platform, which is used in email marketing if necessary. These third parties may not use the information provided for their own purposes under any circumstances and they are only provided with information that is relevant to the implementation of the service. All data transfer with third parties takes place via an encrypted connection. If necessary, personal data may be disclosed to authorities in accordance with the law.

 

Data retention period

We retain customer data for the entire duration of the customer relationship. This means that the data will remain in our customer register until the customer informs us that the data must be deleted. Data deletion requires that all customer orders have been completed in accordance with the law.
